Ethyl cellulose Application:
Because of its water insolubility, ethyl cellulose is mainly used as a tablet binder and film coating material, etc. It can also be used as a skeleton material blocker to prepare many types of skeleton slow-release tablets; used as mixed material to prepare coated slow-release preparations and slow release pills; used as encapsulation excipient to prepare slow-release microcapsules so that the drug effect can be released continuously and some water-soluble reactions can be avoided to take effect prematurely. It can also be used in various pharmaceutical dosage forms as a dispersant, stabilizer, and water retention agent, to prevent the deterioration of the drug moisture.
